Dinner with Doc

29 May

Last night May 28th, I had the pleasure of attending Dinner with Doc at Ristorante Picolino’s. The dinner was hosted by Discover Health Chiropractic, which included a three course Italian meal paired with red or white wine.

After our fine dining, Dr. Reanna Plancich introduced guest speaker Dr. Michael Lenarz, author of “The Chiropractic Way”. Dr. Lenarz is a well-respected upper cervical chiropractor and consultant, who has taught seminars and coached many chiropractors in the industry.

He gave a talk about the true nature of chiropractic, starting out defining what it means to live truly healthy with vitality. He asked the audience what we thought being vital meant. We came up with many different answers, such as feeling energetic, strong, rested, and having healthy nails, hair and skin. He agreed with our answers and pointed out that the nervous system organizes and links everything in our body together, such as our cells, blood, brain, etc. Chiropractic care is about shifting your upper cervical body to line up your spine so that your body, especially your nervous system, can function optimally. We are often times taught that when we feel uncomfortable symptoms, we can take medicine to intervene, but Dr. Lenarz makes a point that medication only masks the symptoms and doesn’t cure the root cause. Chiropractic care works so that your body prevents illnesses from occurring in the first place. It tackles the root cause.

This was a great informational talk that gave us insight into what chiropractic care means and how to be living your true potential.

Discover Health Chiropractic has been in practice for 5 years. With Dr. Reanna Plancich’s gentle approach, called NUCCA, there is no “cracking” of the back but only a slight vibration of the neck.
